The word manna means something, badly needed, that comes unexpectedly. The manna concept of aid and spiritual sustenance comes from the Bible, when the Israelites were miraculously provided with food "manna" in the wilderness.
We're drawn to the dichotomy between the ethereal, organic "manna" of scripture and the very real industrial nature of "machine". It's much like the Studio Gallery itself, which is both a creative and a business endeavor.
Our hope is that our art work can be a vehicle for providing unexpected, but badly needed, sustenance for those hungry for aesthetic experience.
