Like the Lakota Series, these paintings are subjective and spiritual responses to special places. They are reflective of varied places - from Paris to farms in Jefferson County, West Virginia. Ten of the series were produced in 1996 and Doug expects to return to them. Most of these works speak of Autumn or winter or the early beginnings of spring
